Economic empowerment begins with a useful opportunity. In communities where formal employment is scarce, practical training can help people create work for themselves and build a more secure future for their families.
Through skills acquisition, enterprise education and savings groups, IRAID supports women and youths as they learn, practise and plan. The emphasis is on skills that fit local markets and can grow from a first customer into a sustainable enterprise.
The most important outcome is ownership. Participants leave with more than a certificate—they leave with a stronger network, a clearer plan and the confidence to keep building.
“A skill is not only a way to earn. It is a reason to believe that tomorrow can look different.”
